The arrival of the clement weather has brought with it the chance to slake our thirsts with ice-cold beers and lagers.
At Rick Stein’s new venture in Barnes (on the Thames, just east of Richmond) they are serving draft Cornish Pilsner – which you can sip while overlooking the river or while basking al fresco in the cobbled courtyard.
Just as refreshing as it looks, this beer is bold and hoppy with citrus top notes. A perfect summer drop. It can also be paired in the restaurant with Indonesian seafood curry – review to follow later this month.
