Whenever I’m in West Hertfordshire I make a point of diving into one of my favourite pubs: The Feathers. The building (in Rickmansworth town centre) dates back to the 1700s and exudes period character, with flagstone floors and beams.
The pub’s old world charm keeps me going back … And they usually do a decent guest ale. On my last visit, that took the form of “Olde Trip” – a semi-golden, best bitter that hit the mark. The food offering is also very solid at The Feathers, in particular their fish and chips.
